Visa Information
International delegates attending VEIC 2027 in person will need an Indian e-Conference Visa — a specific visa category for conference, workshop, and seminar attendees. This page walks through the application process; please read it fully before you begin.
Apply for the e-Conference Visa, not a tourist visa. A tourist visa does not permit conference attendance and applying under the wrong category can lead to delays, rejection, or complications on arrival.
How to Apply
Request your invitation letter
Complete your VEIC 2027 registration first. Once registered, write to the conference secretariat at netconferencecmc@gmail.com (or use the Contact page) requesting an official conference invitation letter. Include your full name exactly as it appears on your passport, nationality, passport number, and your registration confirmation.
Visit the official Indian e-Visa portal
Go to the Government of India's official e-Visa website and select the e-Conference Visa category. Do not apply for a tourist e-Visa — a tourist visa is not valid for conference attendance and can lead to rejection at immigration.
Fill out the application form
Enter your personal, passport, and travel details accurately, along with VEIC 2027's conference details (name, dates, venue) exactly as they appear on your invitation letter.
Upload the required documents
You will need a scanned copy of your passport's bio-data page, a recent passport-style photograph (white background), and your VEIC 2027 invitation letter. Some nationalities may additionally be asked for a one-page CV — see the note below.
Pay the visa fee online
Fees vary by nationality and are set by the Government of India, so we can't quote a fixed number here — the exact amount for your passport is shown on the official portal before you pay.
Receive and print your e-Visa
Processing typically takes a few business days, though it can take longer during busy periods — apply well ahead of your travel dates. Once approved, you'll receive a PDF by email. Print it and carry it with your passport while travelling; you'll need both at immigration.
Documents You'll Need
- Passport, valid for at least 6 months beyond your arrival date in India
- Scanned copy of your passport's bio-data (photo) page
- Recent passport-style photograph, front-facing, white background
- Official VEIC 2027 conference invitation letter
- Return or onward journey ticket, if requested during the application
- A one-page CV, for nationalities where this may be requested (see note below)
When to Apply
Applications typically open up to 120 days before arrival and close a minimum of a few days before travel. Apply as early as you can, well ahead of the conference dates (January 8th & 9th, 2027) — don't wait until the last minute.
Entry Points
e-Visas are valid for entry only through India's designated international airports and seaports. Confirm your arrival airport is on the designated list before booking flights.
Document Language
All supporting documents, including your invitation letter, must be in English. Documents in other languages may cause your application to be rejected.
Good to Know
- Only the applicant should fill in their own e-Visa application — the process doesn't require an agent or intermediary.
- Depending on your nationality and the nature of your role at the conference (delegate, speaker, session chair), Indian authorities may request additional clearance or a one-page CV. This isn't universal — check the official portal for requirements specific to your passport.
- Keep a digital and printed copy of your invitation letter, registration confirmation, and visa approval — you may be asked for any of these at check-in or immigration.
