Comments

If comments are ever enabled on this site, we collect the information you enter in the comment form, along with your IP address and browser user-agent string, to help detect spam.

If you use an email address that has a Gravatar account linked to it, your Gravatar profile picture may appear alongside your approved comment. An anonymized, hashed version of your email address is sent to the Gravatar service to check this.

Media Uploads

If you upload images to this website, please avoid images that contain embedded location data (EXIF GPS). Visitors to the site are able to download and extract location data from any image published here.

Cookies

This site uses a small number of cookies, mainly to support the login and comment functionality built into WordPress:

• Comment cookies: if you leave a comment, you can opt in to saving your name, email, and website in a cookie for your convenience on future visits. These last one year.
• Login check cookie: a temporary cookie set when you visit the login page, used only to confirm your browser accepts cookies. It holds no personal data and is discarded when you close your browser.
• Login session cookies: set when you log in (for example, as a site administrator), to keep you signed in and remember your screen display choices. These last two days — or two weeks if you select “Remember Me” — and are removed when you log out. Screen-option cookies last a year.
• Editing cookie: if you publish or edit a page, one additional cookie is set. It contains no personal data — only the post ID of the item just edited — and expires after one day.

Embedded Content From Other Websites

Some pages on this site — for example, the Venue, Travel, and Contact pages — include embedded content from other websites, such as Google Maps. Embedded content behaves exactly as it would if you visited that website directly.

These third-party websites may collect data about you, use their own cookies, embed additional third-party tracking, and monitor how you interact with the embedded content, including tracking your interaction with it if you have an account and are logged in to that website.

Who We Share Your Data With

If you request a password reset for a site account, your IP address is included in the password-reset email.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with third parties for their own marketing purposes.

How Long We Retain Your Data

If you leave a comment, the comment and its associated metadata are retained indefinitely. This allows us to recognize and automatically approve any follow-up comments from you, rather than holding every comment for manual moderation.

For anyone who registers an account on this site, the personal information in their user profile is stored for as long as the account exists. Registered users can view, edit, or delete their own personal information at any time, with the exception of their username; site administrators can also view and edit this information.

Your Rights Over Your Data

If you have an account on this site, or have left a comment, you can request an exported copy of the personal data we hold about you. You can also request that we erase that personal data.
